William “Bill” Miller
In an age when being gay or operating a gay business was dangerous if not life threatening, Bill Miller was instrumental in opening several gay clubs like The
Palace, Diamond Head, and most notably, The Parliament House.
He was known for his shrewd business sense provided a safe place for gay men and women to meet, to flirt,
and above all to be themselves.
When Bill Miller died, he left the Parliament House to his longtime partner Michael Hodge.
