Description
Image of Paul Wegman- Miss P posing for a photo. Dave Wegman comments that "Our Mom took this one. Pretty confident it's 1979, will have to look up the date. Paul had come up for a visit, brought a trunk of drag with him in hopes to perform at Jims, the largest club in Rochester at the time. They wouldn't schedule a special / short notice show. At this time was when I was doing Frank N Furter in the local shadow cast of Rocky Horror and this is what he wore going to that. He made the costume, it's based on, or was for, a show he put together of The Wiz ... it's an Emerald City costume."
Paul Michael Wegman or known as Miss P was born and raised in Rochester, New York and moved to Florida in 1960's, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre at the University of Central Florida. Although known as an entertainer for Parliament House, Wegman was also a performer at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater and adjunct professor at Valencia Community College. Over the years Paul received many awards and acknowledgements from local civic, charitable and theatrical organizations. Wegman passed away on August 24, 2004 due to complication resulting from AIDS.
