Photograph: "Miss P brought down by helicopter" (1999)
Image of Paul Wegman- Miss P being brought down by a helicopter at the Parliament House for the millennial celebration (Flying high at the Parliament House: New Years 2000!). Paul Wegman said this aerial entrance by helicopter to bring in the new millennium was the dumbest and scariest stunt he ever participated in.
Paul Michael Wegman or known as Miss P was born and raised in Rochester, New York and moved to Florida in 1960's, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre at the University of Central Florida. Although known as an entertainer for Parliament House, Wegman was also a performer at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater and adjunct professor at Valencia Community College. Dave Wegman comments that "Shortly after midnight on January 1, 2000. I was forced to work at the airport that night and didn't get to attend this. Paul liked to admit that he had 'Peter Pan Syndrome' or the refusal to grow up since he was young. I believe Don and Susan made this happen. The helicopter picked him up from the Rock Lake beach and flew him around the pool area."
